There are several people who regularly contribute ideas and updates to Wayland Transparency™ and many others who are always on the lookout for instances of opacity where there is supposed to be transparency.
Prior to the closure of Loker School in 2008, there were only a handful of what the Powers That Be (PTB) referred to as "naysayers". That one action - closing a school unnecessarily - created hundreds of new disenfranchised residents.
Over the years since then, there have been several additional segments of the population who have been slighted in one way or another by the PTB - Dudley Woods, Oak Hill, former board members who were dismissed for not towing the party line, to name just a few. Each of them has had a rude awakening about the way the town is being run. Every time the PTB negatively affect another group or individual, the number of residents feeling disenfranchised becomes exponentially larger.
Wayland Transparency™ is all of the above. We hear from many people about a variety of issues and work hard to assure the accuracy of everything we post.
