Purpose & Mission

The purpose of this site is to create more transparency in Wayland's schools by empowering Wayland's residents with a way to learn about some aspects of the schools and the town that are not immediately apparent and can be difficult to find.

While "transparency" is a word that is often bantered about at School Committee meetings, one need not look very far to find that in fact it is a quality that is sorely lacking in a district that produces a very brief a budget summary when compared to our peer towns and that lacks line-item detail and that requires citizens and the local media to take them to court in order to access public documents.

Our Goals

• Enhance Transparency
• Educate the public
• Provide history, resources and context
